What a blessing we continue to experience across our great state! From Pensacola, Tallahassee, Orlando, and Palm Beach — our KonB Chairmen have been representing us with honor at the Knights of Columbus regional meetings, sharing who we are and what we stand for.

This past weekend, both the Diocese of Venice and the Archdiocese of Miami held their quarterly meetings — Venice on Saturday and the Archdiocese of Miami on Sunday. I was blessed to attend both gatherings, joined by about half a dozen brothers from each diocese. Each meeting had a strong showing of 25–35 attendees.

At Sunday’s meeting, we vested three new members, and the highlight was receiving a special blessing for the vests from Archbishop Thomas Wenski himself, following a beautiful Mass celebrated by Father Julio de Jesús.

Now, the icing on the cake — on our way to lunch, Father Julio casually mentioned we’d be passing by Alligator Alcatraz, and to our surprise, Archbishop Wenski said the exact same thing! That was all I needed to hear — I said, “Lord, you only have to tell me twice!”

The Archbishop joked that we might get in trouble if we stopped, but I told him, “We’ve got God on our side — we’ll be fine.” And sure enough, we were. We stopped and prayed the Rosary, led by the Archbishop himself, offered for all of humanity — not for any political cause, but for the dignity and care of every human life.

My brothers, what a joy it is to witness the fruits of our labor, and to see how our dedication to serve the Lord is touching hearts. Let us continue to ride with faith, speak boldly of Christ’s love, and serve always in His name.

With God we trust — and ride.

Today, July 20, 2025, the Knights on Bike vested new members of their group at St. John XXIII Catholic Church. The pastor, Rev. Fr. Julio de Jesus, is also a member of the Knights on Bike. The Knights on Bike home council is St. John XXIII Council 14390. Archbishop Thomas Wenski, who is also a rider, came before the end of the mass and blessed the vest before vesting it on the new members. After the mass, they all ride down to Florida City for their vesting celebration, headed by Archbishop Wenski and Florida State Knights on Bike President, George Gutierrez. Congratulations to the newly vested members of the Knights of Bike. Vivat Jesus.

Thank you to all who spend their time assisting in the Special Olympic bowling tournament at SpareZ Bowling Alley in Davie, FL. The Special Olympic coordinator of St. John XXIII Council 14390 is Bro. Rolando Carrion coordinated the volunteering of the members. They had a great time cheering on our Olympiads in their tournament.
