Members of FOP Lodge 189 joined Mission BBQ in Weston for Patriot Day, honoring the lives lost and the sacrifices made on September 11, 2001. 🇺🇸
At noon, the national anthem was sung live, followed by a moment of silence in remembrance.
Thank you to Mission BBQ for bringing our community together to honor their memory.

Members of Lodge 189 visited A.C. Perry Elementary in recognition of National Teddy Bear Day.

Our volunteers handed out teddy bears to the Pre-K and kindergarten students and spent time talking with them about kindness—how we treat others, include our classmates, and help someone who may be having a difficult day.

Thank you to the teachers and staff at A.C. Perry Elementary for welcoming us and helping make the morning special for the students. Special thanks to SRO Ashley Armstrong.

Police Week is about recognizing the men and women behind the badge, the sacrifices, long hours, missed holidays, and commitment to serving this community every single day.
Last week, we had the opportunity to slow things down for a moment, share a meal, laugh together, and honor the incredible members of our department. To everyone who helped make these lunches possible and to every officer who continues to answer the call — thank you.

This is what policing and community truly look like, officers stepping up beyond the badge, neighbors helping neighbors, and people coming together to lift someone up in a time of need. Proud of the members who volunteered their personal time, hard work, and dedication to help a resident restore pride in his home and property. This is service far beyond the uniform.

When you want to celebrate real women in the department… maybe start by using an actual one. How many errors can you find in this picture? We will get you started, the Officer doesn’t even exist.
