This is on a small barn in Montmorency County. This was part of a painting workshop we held in 2022. The county does not have a formal trail but there are many 2’ x 2’ blocks in the county from the workshops we held there.

Hello everyone, I am so looking forward to seeing those of you who have responded and we will miss seeing those who can't make it. I have a major change to share with everyone. We have had to change the venue for the 2024 Quilt Trails of Michigan Gathering. It will be held at the Pere Marquette District Library, 185 E. Fourth St., Clare, MI. The time and everything else is still the same. If you find at the last minute you could join us, please come ahead. We have a small group coming and we would love to see you and hear about your Trail. If you have questions please call or text me at 989-698-6539.

Here is the interview I did with Tina Sawyer on Quilt Trails in Michigan.

Michigan farm communities are showing their creative skills and sharing a piece of their history through art displayed on their homes and barns. Quilts Trails of Michigan is a group that helps spread awareness about these quilts and the trails that often come with them across the state.

Welcome to our page about our Quilt Trail in Oscoda County.

The group that we were working with has not been active in the last few years but we still hold block painting workshops and are willing to help you get a quilt block painted and installed.

Since the oragaization has not been active we have not had the funds to print new Trail Guides but you can find our map in the Visitors Guide.

This block was made for the Habitat for Humanity Re-Store in Fairview, MI. After that closed we offered it to Ogemaw Habitat for Humanity ReStore in West Branch and they were delighted to install it on their building. Stop by and check out their fabulous treasures and see the block.
