During Covid we will be making some changes to better serve our community. We will be buying FoodLion gift cards and specific food items when the school staff reassesses the best use of our support. Our partner, Servants Heart, will be a vital connection point for us as well. www.Servantsheart.org

Servants Heart has been our point of contact with families during Covid. It is a much easier, central location. They are 501-c3 and will take monetary donations as well as the items on this list. Let’s support them well until the extensive need passes. Families who’ve never needed help before are needing it now. Blair Road United Methodist Church

One7 ministries(One7.org) in Charlotte is close to Jeff and Cindy Pope’s heart and they needed some help. We have leaned in to bridge the gap with your donations! It’s a loaves n fishes kind of moment. Just watch HIM work!
We remain in contact with Servants Heart and local schools to make sure we are doing all we can. So far so good.

We are using our Bookbags cash donations to fill the bags week to week. 😀The collection bin is outside the sanctuary for kid food. Thank you to those who have already started dropping items off! ❤️We are serving more than our normal number. Over 300 so far in 2 weeks.

Ok. Good news. So far so good with the students we serve at Lebanon rd Elem. They have a good communication system in place for parents to request help. We’ll be working in the meantime to restock approx 100 bags for next week.

We will be looking to send food home with students each Friday to help cover the weekends. Drop off kid friendly “heat and eat” food items and granola bars to BRUMC.

We are awaiting the CMS plan as to how to best serve our students. As soon as we know we will put out the information. We have 100+ bags ready at the moment. If you would like donate food please make sure it’s kid friendly heat and eat type food. Blair Road United Methodist Church
