As we put a wrap on another state amateur basketball tournament, we want to say a few thank yous to some of the people that make it all possible.

First, thank you to all the players, families and fans. It’s great to see all the young children in the gym with basketballs.

Second, thank you to Bismarck Public Schools for allowing us to take their facilities over on a very busy weekend with spring sports and other activities.

Third, thank you to the staff and volunteers. Officials, scorekeepers, ticket takers, site supervisors, and sports medicine coverage for making the tournament go.

And to our NDABI and Bismarck and Parks and Recreation District staff. Many hours of planning starting in January to make sure everything is ready when games start. Then getting teams checked in, updating scores, and getting awards ready and given out.

Thank you to the Bismarck-Mandan Convention and Visitor’s Bureau for opening up their doors for check in when other options fell through. Thank you to Lindsey from the CVB for getting us out of the hotel issues we had a week before the tournament.

Next year’s tournament will be a week later as the usual dates fall on Easter, so dates will be April 2-4, 2027 in Minot. Next year’s tournament will mark the 75th anniversary of the NDABI state am. Hope to see everyone there.

All team managers should have received an email this evening with some general information for this weekend. If you did not receive this email, please check your junk mail. If it’s not there, please email me at [email protected] and I will get you that information.

All teams that are playing in the State Am MUST check in before their first game. Once you check in, you will get a check in sheet that you must take with you and give to the score table at your first game. If you do not have this check in sheet, you will not be allowed to play. Please double check that rosters are correct at check in. You will also get player passes and drink tickets to the Lodge/Stadium.

Check in will be at the Bismarck-Mandan Convention and Visitors Bureau (1600 Burnt Boat Drive in Bismarck):

5:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Thursday, March 26

9:00 am until noon on Friday, March 27.

Check in will then move to Legacy High School at 3:45 pm on Friday.

Brackets are published to the Sports Engine Tourney app. Just search for 2026 North Dakota Amateur Basketball Tournament.

Note that we are keeping registration open for high school teams that might still have athletes participating this weekend. Schedules may change as we get those teams registered. If they do, and it affects a game your team plays, we will contact the manager as soon as possible.

03/21/2026

Brackets should be ready and published some time tomorrow (3/21). They just need to be proofread to make sure there are no errors.

03/18/2026

All brackets and live scores will be posted on the Sports Engine Tourney app this year. There will be no paper brackets. Please download the app to get updates.

Brackets are not ready yet. They will hopefully be ready by Friday. Check here to find out when the brackets have been finished and published to the app.
