πŸŽ‰ BIG ANNOUNCEMENT! πŸŽ‰

This is a free community event, but throughout the The Sound of Independence: Celebrating 30 Years of Breaking Barriers there will be opportunities to support our BEYOND Program, a life-changing, peer-led initiative that helps young people with disabilities build the real-world skills they need to live independently.

Since it began more than a decade ago, BEYOND has reached over 500 students in more than 20 rural schools across our 11-county service area. The program teaches budgeting, employment skills, housing, communication, transportation, and self-advocacy. Students who complete BEYOND graduate at higher rates and enter adulthood with more confidence and the tools to advocate for themselves.

Unfortunately, recent changes in budget priorities are putting the future of BEYOND at risk. Rural communities will be impacted the most.

So come out, enjoy the music, celebrate with us, and if you are able, donate to help us serve youth.

Did you know Tanya, Co-Founder, works as a real estate agent? She's a busy mom, real estate agent, and in her free time continues to volunteer with non-profits in town. When it gets warmer out, you might find her out on her Harley! You won't find anyone else with a bigger heart, more vibracious personality, and overall kind human being than her.

I would ❀️to help!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

His leadership has made a difference not just here at Independence, Inc., but in the lives of so many people in our region.

While his time on the board is wrapping up, we know Drew isn’t going farβ€”he’ll always be part of the Independence, Inc. family. Drew, from the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your dedication, kindness, and unwavering belief in removing barriers and achieving dreams. πŸ’™
