Congratulations to Landen Jansen, Tate Heer, Gage Holter and Kole Herman, recipients of INSPIRITUS Community Health Foundation's Friends of Kevin Mattson Scholarship Fund. Each received $2000.00 toward their continued education at North Dakota State School of Science Wahpeton for Jansen and Bismarck State College for Heer, Holter and Herman.

Landen, Minot, will study (HVAC) Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Plumbing; Kole, from Kenmare, is pursuing a degree in Welding; while Tate, of Douglas, and Gage, Kenmare, are entering the electrical lineman field of studies.

The Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in memory of Kevin Mattson, a Minot native who owned and operated Mattson Construction and The Grand Hotel with his family from 1976-2010. Throughout his career, Kevin believed that standards are the keystone to every project and success begins with a skilled team. Craftsmen and subcontractor selection was based on demonstration of the highest standard of excellence in workmanship. Knowledge, expertise, leadership and dedication were the cornerstone of each professional and every project.

We are honored by the impact this legacy endowment fund has provided to our region.

Congratulations and Best Wishes for continued success in your journey.

Proud to partner with Operation Homefront during the holidays.

"We hear from families every year that November and December are a tough time for them financially and emotionally. The responses we receive on our surveys verify that this program is making an impact, especially during that time of year. We are able to help families with financial relief by providing a grocery gift card to help with a holiday meal or necessities during the holidays." Operation Homefront.

Applications are now being accepted for the next round of grants. Deadline August 15, 2026.
