Together With Veterans - Minot

Yesterday I had the opportunity to partner up with the veterans from the American Legion Post 139 located in Tioga ND. They held a veterans su***de prevention awareness walk, followed by a parade down main street. After that the town held their Tioga Farm Festival with numerous activities and games for the families, vendor booths, as well as a classic car & bike show. Thank so much for letting the veterans in these rural areas know that they are not alone.

Last night we held another great event supporting rural veteran su***de prevention. We enjoyed a night of painting, conversations, and comraderie.

We can't do these events without the help of our amazing community partners. We would like to give a huge thank you to Urban Winery for providing an amazing facility to let these veterans and their family members have a wonderful experience. We can't wait for the next one!

As we celebrate our nation's 250th birthday, let us not forget the men and women who are still standing the watch. Take a moment to reflect on the sacrifices we all have made as service members, veterans, and to the loved ones that have supported us while we carried on with the mission.

In keeping up with military tradition, your safety brief will be "make sure that you have the same number of fingers, toes, and appendages on the 5th of July as you did on the 4th of July.

Another successful event courtesy of our friends at Prairie Sky Breads Minot. Su***de prevention isn't just a veteran issue, it's a community issue. We can't do what we do without the support of our community partners.

Today's participants learned how to make fresh pizza as well as taking a behind the scenes tour of their daily operations and learning more about the building's history.
