The Minot State University Staff Senate raised $1,213 for the Minot Pink Ladies through a silent and live auction fundraiser.

The Pink Ladies support individuals battling cancer by helping cover the costs of treatment, medication, and travel. The organization raises funds through a variety of community events, including fundraisers and an all-women’s dart league.

We were honored to present a check yesterday to one of our wonderful nominees, Tara Hiatt.
As she shared more of her journey with us, we were reminded once again of the strength and courage shown by those facing this battle. Tara also received one of our handmade blankets as a small reminder that she is surrounded by love and support.

While Andi is currently at Mayo Clinic receiving ongoing treatment, a family member accepted the check on her behalf and shared an update on her journey with us. Andi also received one of our handmade blankets as a reminder that she is not alone.

Friday is coming FAST, and right now we have only 4 of our 21 blood drive slots filled. We truly need a strong push to make this happen.
🩸 If all 21 slots are filled, every donor who gives will be entered into a drawing for a tabletop fireplace 🔥 — an added thank‑you for stepping up.
Only 2–3% of North Dakotans donate blood, yet 25% of collected blood supports cancer patients right here in our area. The need is very real.

đź’— Minot Pink Ladies love all supporters in the fight against cancer! đź’—
Yesterday, we were blessed to meet with the Granville Student Council and the 7th grade class following a school‑wide fundraiser to raise money for cancer awareness. All grades were partnered together for the fundraiser, with the 7th graders paired with the kindergarteners, and the 7th grade group were the winners who chose to support Minot Pink Ladies.
They sold ribbons each day for $1, with each ribbon representing a different type of cancer. Together, the partnered classes raised $267, which the Student Council matched, bringing the total raised to an amazing $534. They generously chose to donate these funds to Minot Pink Ladies to support our fight against cancer.
💞 Special shout‑out:
One of the 7th graders (who wasn’t able to be there yesterday) donated $100 of her own babysitting money. Her mom came in and matched her donation. Her mom, Kennedy, also shoots darts on Tuesday night League #2 at the VFW — thank you both for your incredible generosity and big hearts!
We are so thankful for these students, families, and educators who show us that kindness, teamwork, and compassion start at a young age. 💕🎗️
