The forecast remains on track for early next week. A developing area of low pressure will threaten with rain Saturday through Monday, and temperatures are forecast to noticeably drop. Highs will only be in the 40s by Monday, with lows below freezing for some locales.

While rain remains the most likely form of precipitation across the board, confidence is slowly increasing in potentially seeing a brief mixing or crossover to snow early Monday morning in western ND. Accumulations remain unlikely at this juncture, however.

Dry with above normal temperatures through Saturday. High temperatures will be in the 70s to around 80 Friday and Saturday! A big change arrives on Sunday, when a strong cold front brings much colder temperatures, gusty winds, and chances for precipitation to the region.
