From the county highway department: All Washburn County ROADS open up to ATV/UTV traffic effective May 13.

Effective May 13th, 2026
All County Roads in Washburn County are now open to ATV/UTV traffic.
Signs are posted at all border crossings authorizing use of the County Roads and No ATV Traffic signs are installed where there is not a direct crossing of the State Highway.
An updated map showing all County Roads are open will be posted on the Highway Department Website.
Please drive safe and be respectful of others while driving on our Highways.

Douglas County trails are open

Douglas County Trail Report 5/6/26

All Summer ATV/UTV recreation trails are Open with the exception of gated sections on 217 which are shown on the map as of 5/6/2026. As a reminder, please stay on the trail and away from the edges. If the County is in Red Flag Fire Danger the trails will close temporarily.

1. Gandy Dancer Trail – MN/WI Stateline to Patzau.

2. Saunders Grade – MN/WI Stateline to her Schallameir road parking lot.

3. Wild Rivers Trail – Douglas Co./Washburn Co. line to North Trailhead parking lot.

4. Trail 41 (summer section)

5. Trail 3 (summer section)

6. Trail 5 (summer section)

7. Trail 217(summer section)

Another great turnout at P&L Corner Bar today for our meat raffle. A HUGE thank you to our treasurer Scott, wife Wendy and son Brandon for running the meat raffle while the other club officers are off traveling, and of course a big thanks to P&Ls for hosting, to everyone who came out, and congratulations to all the winners!!
