Today we honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.; a leader who exemplified what it means to live the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

As a Scout in his youth, Dr. King learned values that shaped his lifelong commitment to service, courage, and justice. He showed us what it looks like to be trustworthy in word and action, brave in the face of injustice, helpful to others, and reverent in his belief that everyone deserves dignity and respect. He didn’t just speak about change. He lived it. His legacy reminds us that character, leadership, and service can truly change the world.
