The Kiwanis Club of South Lake is honored to support the incredible work of Building Blocks Ministries in Groveland, Florida, with a donation of $1,000.

Since 2006, Building Blocks Ministries has been empowering adults with developmental disabilities through life-skills training, community engagement, health and wellness programs, transportation services, and compassionate support. Their mission is to help individuals dream, believe in themselves, and achieve their fullest potential while fostering inclusion and meaningful participation within our community. (Building Blocks)

Today’s National Day of Prayer breakfast was such a powerful and uplifting event for our community! The Kiwanis Club of Clermont always does a tremendous job organizing this beautiful gathering, and this year was no exception. Hats off to Paula Whetro and her committee for putting together such a meaningful and inspiring morning. The extra prayers were truly felt and greatly needed.

Pastor Tim Moses brought the WORD in a way that touched all of our hearts and spoke directly to our souls. What a blessing to come together as a community in faith, unity, and prayer.

We are so grateful for all of our frontline workers, teachers, leaders, business owners, volunteers, coaches, first responders, and everyone who pours into making our community such an incredible place to call home. Your dedication, kindness, and servant hearts do not go unnoticed.

And as Mayor Tim Murry always says, “To God Be the Glory!” 🙏

The Kiwanis Club of South Lake hosted its 17th Annual Celebrity Golf Tournament on April 3 at Kings Ridge Golf Course, and it was truly an incredible day! The weather was beautiful, and the Kiwanis golf committee did a fantastic job organizing the event and putting together so many wonderful raffle prizes and baskets.

A heartfelt thank you to all of the businesses that took time out of their busy schedules to host a tee box, sponsor a foursome, donate raffle items, play in the tournament, and volunteer. We appreciate each and every one of you! A special shoutout to V3 Capital for being our main sponsor this year.

Thank you as well to all of the celebrities who came out to support our club and the children in our community. We are still smiling from ear to ear over what an amazing day it was!
