Did you know that this is the woman who I named my garden after? I discovered Peace Pilgrim when I was living in Key West. I was shopping at the Sugar Apple health food store when I picked up a booklet and her message resonated deeply with me. I read every book I could find about her. And then one day I had a spiritual experience where her spirit appeared to me while I was working as a volunteer at West Martello Gardens.

I want to share her message today because in these crazy times we need peace to survive and thrive and fulfill our mission on this earth. 🕊️☮️

What can a little person like me do for peace? "Live in the present. Do the things you know need to be done. Do all the good you can each day. The future will unfold."

Spring planting is here and the garden has fully recovered from the October hurricane.
I just harvested a handful of spicy greens, juicy red plums and bright cherry tomatoes. The mango tree is in bloom.
Peaches, loquats and blueberries, are starting to ripen, the Mulberry trees are regaining their leaves, and the days are sunnier. Now is the perfect time in Florida to start planting. What do you love to eat?

I have several Christmas cactus but this one usually blooms around Valentine’s Day.
Even though most of the plants in the food forest are edible or medicinal I have to have a few of my favorites just for their beauty .
