WOMEN WELLNESS HUB
Somali American Women Action Center have created a space which builds a community for young girls and refugee women to learn, grow, become leaders in their own right and bring prosperity through community integrations.
Through our “SEWING 4 LIVING” project we targets to improve the well-being of the immigrant women by providing the skills of sewing and cutting so that they can uplift their living standards and reduce the economic and social disparities these women face while it increases their ability to be self-sufficient as they are the bedrock of bread-wining for their families. This project hopes to break the cycle of poverty while it raises women's motivation to generate their income through the creation of their own clothing line.
