At The Inner Hero, we understand that real impact is not always made from a stage—it often happens sitting beside a young person, helping with an assignment, having a meaningful conversation, correcting with love, and reminding them that their future is bigger than their present circumstances.

This is why we continue to EDUCATE. INSPIRE. BUILD. One student, one family, and one relationship at a time.
Our young people don't just need programs, they need consistent people who care enough to be present. When we invest in them today, we are helping build the leaders, parents, professionals, and community servants of tomorrow.

Dear Parents and Guardians,

On behalf of The Inner Hero, I want to sincerely thank each of you for taking the time to attend our After-School Program Parents’ Meeting.

Your presence, participation, questions, and willingness to work together mean a great deal to us. The success of our students depends not only on the work we do during program hours, but also on the strong partnership between our staff, parents, and families.

As we begin this new program year, we ask that we all remain committed to the expectations and procedures discussed during the meeting, including student safety, drop-off and pick-up procedures, cell phone expectations, communication, attendance, and family support.

Please remember that communication is extremely important. If you have questions or concerns regarding your child or the program, please communicate with our team so that we can address them together.

Thank you for trusting The Inner Hero with your children. We do not take that responsibility lightly. We are looking forward to another successful year of academic support, mentorship, character development, and positive experiences for our students.

Together, we are not just helping our children succeed today, we are helping prepare them to become tomorrow’s leaders.

What an amazing summer it has been for our young people at The Inner Hero! Our summer program is about much more than keeping our youth busynit is about creating opportunities for them to learn, explore, build relationships, develop confidence, and simply enjoy being kids.
From exciting field trips and recreational activities to team building, social development, educational projects, family engagement, and community partnerships, every experience is designed to help our young people discover the Inner Hero within themselves. 🦸🏾‍♂️🦸🏾‍♀️
Seeing these smiles reminds us why we do what we do. We are investing in this generation so they can become productive, compassionate, and responsible leaders who will empower the Next Generation. 🙏🏾❤️

🏀🏆 WHAT AN AMAZING 10TH ANNUAL INNER HERO BIEBER CLASSIC TOURNAMENT! 🏆🏀
Today, Saturday, August 8th, we celebrated a major milestone The Inner Hero Bieber Classic 10th Annual Basketball Tournament at Legacy Hoops on Wooddale Drive in Woodbury! 🎉
TEN YEARS of bringing together our youth, families, athletes, volunteers, leaders, and Community Heroes through basketball, mentorship, teamwork, and community engagement. What started as a vision continues to grow into something bigger than basketball we are investing in the Next Generation! ❤️💪🏾
A very special THANK YOU to Mr. Jay Hesby, our consistent and faithful sponsor, for continuing to believe in the mission and vision of The Inner Hero. Your partnership and commitment over the years have helped make opportunities like this possible for our young people. The Inner Hero 10th Annual Bieber Classic Basketball Tournament is almost here, and we're ready to celebrate a decade of empowering youth, building community, and honoring the incredible legacy of Mr. William F. Bieber through the game of basketball.

Join us for a full day of high-energy competition, sportsmanship, and community impact!

Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

🎨☀️ Summer Project in Full Swing! ☀️🎨
Creativity is on full display at The Inner Hero Summer Program! Our students are hard at work designing and creating their very own custom denim projects while learning the value of patience, creativity, teamwork, and self-expression.

Beyond the art, they're sharing meals together, building friendships, encouraging one another, and making memories that will last a lifetime. Every project is more than just a craftn it's an opportunity to build confidence, develop new skills, and discover the unique gifts God has placed within each of them.

We're proud of our young leaders for showing up each day with enthusiasm, imagination, and a willingness to learn.

Thank you to our parents, staff, volunteers, and Community Heroes for investing in the next generation. Together, we are inspiring, empowering, and educating tomorrow's leaders.

We were honored to welcome over 400+ students, alongside parents, teachers, community leaders, and supporters for an unforgettable experience focused on leadership, civic engagement, mentorship, and community empowerment.

• The Deputy Chief of Police Pete Underthun

Community in Action. Connection in Motion.
The Inner Hero After School Program was honored to attend the Community Care & Connection Gathering a powerful evening of unity, dialogue, and support for our community.

In partnership with LaToya Turk, Director of the Office of Community Prevention, Health & Safety for the City of Brooklyn Center, we joined youth, families, leaders, and organizations committed to building stronger, safer, and more connected communities.

Our young leaders had the opportunity to engage in meaningful conversations, connect with vital resources, and experience firsthand what it means to come together in times that matter most.
This is what The Inner Hero is all about educating, inspiring, and building Community Heroes.

Together, we are not just responding to challenges…
we are creating solutions, building relationships, and moving forward as ONE community.
