Jeremiah Program offers one of the nation’s most successful strategies for supporting families as they work to transform their lives from poverty to prosperity two generations at a time. We believe that no mother should have to make the untenable choice between investing in herself and her children. Our holistic approach allows families to dream what is possible when they are able to bring all of

their identities to bear in pursuit of their goals. Jeremiah’s proven, holistic approach begins with establishing a supportive community for single mothers to pursue a career-track, college education. Through a combination of quality early childhood education, a safe and affordable place to live, and empowerment and life skills training, families find stability and a path out of poverty.

Today is National !

To celebrate JP moms and their kids, we help families open 529 investment accounts to save for their children’s future college expenses.

In 2025, JP invested over $97,000 in 529 accounts for JP kids, giving them the foundation for a brighter future.

✨Staff Spotlight✨

Meet Sara, Director of our Minneapolis Child Development Center! For nearly three years, Sara has been at the heart of our CDC—keeping everything running smoothly each day by supporting teachers, children, and families and making sure every detail is in place (even when no two days look the same!).

What inspires her most? Our 2GEN mission—knowing that the work happening each day is supporting both children *and* their moms together.

One of her favorite moments each year is preschool graduation. Watching children she’s known for years walk confidently into their K–12 journeys, ready for Kindergarten, is something she’ll never forget.

Sara also loves the constant energy of the Minneapolis campus—where, no matter the time of day, you’ll find families and staff connecting, checking in, and supporting one another.

Outside of work, she’s currently renovating a camper van with her husband for future road trips

Meet one of the incredible Family Coaches supporting our Minneapolis campus! 💙 Since joining Jeremiah Program in October 2025, she’s been partnering closely with Moms—helping them set goals, navigate challenges, and build pathways in education, career growth, wellness, and beyond.

Inspired by years of supporting women through crisis intervention, she now brings that same passion into long‑term relationship‑building and community care. One of her favorite moments? The magic of Community Dinners—where connection, energy, and shared space truly come alive.

When she’s not coaching, you can find her skiing, snowboarding, or paddle boarding—and as a Minnesota native, pouring back into the Minneapolis community she calls home means everything.

As part of JP Mother’s Day Month, we’re proud to reflect on last week’s Legacy Awards celebration and recognize the incredible young leaders and families who inspire us every day.

We recognized the winners of the 2026 JP Legacy Award! First-place winner Zayna Kaba and her mother, Ethelind Kaba, joined JP President & CEO Chastity Lord to share the meaning behind the award and their hopes for their family’s future.

We are also proud to celebrate our second-place winner, Emmanuel Schmitt, son of Mary Claire Wente, and our third-place winner, Ethan Mages, son of Ashley Mages.

Congratulations to these inspiring young leaders and the families who support them every step of the way. 🌟
