Adams Grove Community Orchard A community orchard in the Greater Longfellow neighborhood of Minneapolis.

All are welcome to pick and eat fruit from 36 fruit trees - including peaches, pears, apples, crabapples, apricots, plums, cherries and serviceberries.

Great turnout for the mulching party May 1 - thanks to all who came - it was great to meet people in person! LCC Board members Will and Vanessa worked with us, and MPRB Forestry lead Danielle provided a mulching primer. Big thanks to Hiawatha Landscaping Supply for their delivered donation of compost, arranged by Will. MPRB will arrange more chip mulch once their supplies are replenished, and we’ll have another mulching session. The compost will provide nutrients, and the first application of chip mulch will help keep the weeds down and protect the trees from the mowers. Visit the Grove and check out the handiwork!

Mulching Party in the Works!
LCC* are working with MPRB to get more woodchips dropped off at the grove, and to delineate the desired mulching plan. Community members can mulch together, share some snacks, and talk about all things Adam’s Grove.
Dates in discussion are Friday, May 1, 5-7, or Saturday, May 9, time TBD.
Please comment with your date/time preference, and any ideas for this first Grove Gathering in a while!
