National Center for College Students with Disabilities A project of the ICI at University of Minnesota and AHEAD, we offer information to disabled students

The NCCSD is a federally-funded project based at the Institute on Community Integration at the University of Minnesota in partnership with the Association on Higher Education And Disability (AHEAD). The NCCSD Clearinghouse has information and resources for:

-High school students; all future and current college students with disabilities, and their families;
-Teachers and staff in K-12 sch

ools; Transition & Vocational Rehabilitation personnel;
-College and university personnel, including administrators, faculty and disability services providers; and
-Researchers and policymakers who need to know about disability services at campuses in the United States. Feel free to call or email us with your questions; we'll be happy to help you.

Thanks to strong advocacy, the Senate Appropriations Committee advanced the FY 2026 Labor-HHS bill with bipartisan support and rejected cuts to UCEDDs—a key step forward. But the House may still propose cuts when it marks up its version in September.

We now need high-volume outreach to both chambers. Please take two minutes to urge Congress to protect funding for UCEDDs, LENDs, and IDDRCs. Your voice matters.
