Hello everyone! There are 2 IMPORTANT announcements regarding JSA and J-Café.

📣1. JSA has MERGED student organizations with J-Cafe Minnesota and will now continue from here on out under the name of JSA‼️

However, we will be mainly OPERATING the NEW JSA (JSA Minnesota) social media accounts--Instagram, Facebook, and our website -- and holding our major events and normal biweekly Sawakai's, which are casual social gatherings.

So, any new events will be updated through https://www.facebook.com/umn.jsa.minnesota/ Make sure to FOLLOW🤗

Hello everyone! Welcome back to the new school year! We hope everyone is doing well during these difficult times!

We would love to invite everyone to a fun game night on November 6th (Friday) at 6:00PM! We will be hosting some fun games such as Jeopardy! Test your Japanese knowledge in all areas for a chance to win some cool prizes!

Hello everyone!

Are you interested in Japanese culture, performing arts, or just having a great time in general? If so, there's a series of exciting concerts happening this weekend right in our backyard!

Ensō Daiko, Minnesota based taiko ("drum") ensemble that delivers exciting performances, is having concerts at the Southern Theater (near the U of M Law School on West Bank) this weekend.

Come out to one of the shows this weekend if you're looking for a culturally-enriching experience!

Ensō Daiko at the Southern Theater:
Thursday (Nov 21st) -- 7:30 PM
Friday (Nov 22nd) -- 7:30 PM

Sunday (Nov 24th) -- 2:00 PM (Pay What You Can)

Tickets are General Admission
$20 Advance / $24 at the door
$18 Seniors (65+) / $12 Students with ID

Join Ensō Daiko and special guest, Megan Chao Smith, for a performance to get your blood pumping and your feet stomping. This year we will premiere several new compositions, as well as unveil our new Gekko drum from Asano Taiko. Don't miss it!

Hey everyone!
We just wanted to remind you all that our JSA Spooktacular event is tomorrow (10/25) from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM in Bruininks 330! There will be a variety of fun activities such as Japan/Halloween themed kahoot, bingo, charades, calligraphy, and more.

If you’re feeling burned out after a long week, please come out to our event and relax with a bunch of fun activities. Although it isn’t necessary, please feel free to wear Halloween attire to the event as well! As always, free food, snacks, candy, and drinks will be provided.
