MN Inspiring Connections Outdoors-ICO We create opportunities through outdoor experiences for personal growth and life style change, outdoor skills, leadership development and foster respect.

Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO), a Sierra Club program, empowers urban youth from low income communities to explore the outdoors. MN ICO leads small groups of youth on a mix of short outings and extended camping trips in the both the surrounding Twin Cities area and beyond. MN ICO provides the opportunity for the youth to discover new interests while building self-esteem and learning about th

e environment. MN ICO uses the natural environment as a bridge to foster relationships and understanding between cultures and communities. MN ICO is only possible because of its committed volunteers who generously donate their time and skills. Besides leading outings, there are many ways to contribute to the mission of the organization.
