Big news! 🎉 MNFEI has officially welcomed a new partner, Interfaith Action of Greater Saint Paul, and we’ve already successfully completed our first cohort through the Economic Mobility Hub!

The Hub is a powerful new initiative supporting economic stability and opportunity for American Indian families in the East Metro, and we’re honored to provide free financial education as part of this work.

We’re grateful for a strong start and excited to keep building momentum together.

At MNFEI, our partnerships mean everything to us. Programs like Goodwill-Easter Seals Minnesota allow us to meet participants where they are and be part of their journey toward new opportunities and greater financial confidence. We are incredibly grateful to work alongside organizations that care so deeply about the communities they serve.

Most of all, we are always rooting for our participants. Watching them reach milestones like graduation is inspiring, and we are proud to cheer them on every step of the way. Congratulations to another amazing group! We cannot wait to see what you do next. 💚

Big thanks to Innovate MN and the University of St. Thomas!

MNFEI recently had the opportunity to partner with Innovate MN and students from the University of St. Thomas for an Idea Jam, where we worked together to brainstorm creative ways to improve our participant survey process.

It was inspiring to see so many bright minds come together to help us think differently about how we collect feedback and measure impact. The students’ energy, curiosity, and innovative ideas gave us some exciting next steps to make our surveys more engaging and meaningful!

We’re so grateful for this collaboration, and for the shared commitment to building stronger, more effective community programs across Minnesota.

MNFEI is proud to partner with the Evans Scholars Foundation's Caddie Academy to bring financial education to young women preparing for bright futures!

On Monday evening, we worked with high school girls living on the University of Minnesota campus to teach them about budgeting, credit, and saving. These students are part of an amazing program that opens doors to full college scholarships through caddying 🏌️‍♀️🎓

We're thrilled to support these future leaders with tools for lifelong financial confidence!

📢 Exciting News! 🤝

We’re thrilled to announce a new partnership between Summit Academy OIC and MNFEI! Together, we’re taking financial literacy to the next level—empowering students in the 20-week financial services training with the knowledge and skills to build a secure financial future for themselves and their families. 3 new MNFEI volunteers kicked it off with one-on-one sessions last week-THANK YOU volunteers and to Summit Academy for opening your doors to us.

Board member, Miguel Quiñones, has been doing amazing work developing his own financial literacy curriculum to teach immigrant and refugee adults at Learning In Style School in Minneapolis. These financial education classes for students will give them the confidence to make smart choices as well as knowledge regarding their rights and options when it comes to their money.

Miguel Quiñones is collaborating with two Twin Cities nonprofits to develop a culturally-responsive financial education program for immigrant and refugee families.
