Join your neighbors at the Train Park on Saturday, August 22 for a park cleanup, potluck, and community conversation!

We’ll spend the morning cleaning up the park, then gather for a potluck and social at noon. We’re also looking for your ideas and vision for future Train Park improvements! Kids are especially encouraged to share their thoughts.

🧤 Cleanup: 10 AM–12 PM
🍔 Potluck + Social: 12 PM
📍 Train Park: 690 NE 27th Ave

Bring cleanup tools if you have them (gloves, yard bags, pruners, etc.) and a dish to share if you’re able. HNIA will provide grills!

And you don’t have to be able to clean to participate, all ages and abilities are welcome. Come meet your neighbors, share your ideas, or just enjoy some food and community!

We want everyone to stay safe and avoid gathering outdoors during the extreme heat.

HNIA has partnered with the Center for Energy and Environment (CEE) to offer two new loan options for eligible Holland homeowners:
🏡 Home Improvement Loan
• Up to $15,000
• 4.75% APR
🛠️ Emergency Deferred (Forgivable) Loan
• Up to $10,000
• 0% APR
Income limits and eligibility requirements apply.
These new loan programs can help eligible homeowners finance qualifying home improvements or emergency repairs.

Come connect with neighbors, hear neighborhood updates, vote in board elections, and enjoy FREE ice cream with the community. We’ll also hear from Council President Elliott Payne and discuss important neighborhood initiatives, including a proposed transfer of NRP funds to support a new home loan program launching later this year.
