First Friday; get to Mass!

𝘼𝙣𝙙 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙖𝙘𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩!

Jesus requested, via St. Margaret Mary Alacoque (he commanded her to share it throughout the whole world!), that Catholics receive Holy Communion on the First Friday of nine consecutive months to make reparation for the sins committed against his Sacred Heart.

To those who make the devotion, Christ makes Twelve Promises, including that he will "𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑖𝑠ℎ 𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑐𝑒 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑓𝑎𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑒𝑠,” "𝑏𝑒𝑠𝑡𝑜𝑤 𝑎𝑏𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑎𝑛𝑡 𝑏𝑙𝑒𝑠𝑠𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠 𝑢𝑝𝑜𝑛 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑡𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔𝑠," and ”𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑑𝑖𝑒 𝑢𝑛𝑑𝑒𝑟 [𝑚𝑦] 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑝𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒, 𝑛𝑜𝑟 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑡 𝑟𝑒𝑐𝑒𝑖𝑣𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑠𝑎𝑐𝑟𝑎𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑠; 𝑚𝑦 𝐻𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑡 𝑠ℎ𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑖𝑟 𝑎𝑠𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒𝑑 𝑟𝑒𝑓𝑢𝑔𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑙𝑎𝑠𝑡 ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑟.”

We don't just want to be a lofty ideas factory!

Our quarterly dinners are one opportunity the community provides to pursue both material support for the church (the Guild's perpetual object since day one), but also to help transform minds and hearts!
