Gary’s FUB Team

What started from heartbreak became a community full of love, advocacy and hope.

After Gary’s diagnosis 10 years ago, our family turned to The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration for support and guidance. In 2018, we launched Gary’s FUB Team to raise awareness and give back to the FTD community. Together, we’ve raised more than $90,000!!

As a family, we’ve made the difficult decision to step away and will not be holding our annual event in 2026 or in the future. While this chapter closes, our passion and love for the FTD community will continue.

Thank you for every donation, hug, volunteer shift, raffle bid, and conversation. You helped us honor Gary in the best way possible.

Please continue to supporting the incredible work of the AFTD. There is still hope ahead. ❤️

We are still feeling the love from last week. ❤️ THANK YOU for showing up, giving, and lifting up the FTD community. Together we raised over $35K… that’s over $10K more than last year. 🙌

If you missed the event but want to keep the momentum going, you can still donate online.

What a night. ❤️ Whether you were in the room with us or donated from afar, you showed up for the FTD community, and that matters! Together, we’re pushing for research, awareness, and a future where families facing FTD have more answers and more HOPE.

Our hearts are full, and we’re so grateful. This community is proof that even in the hardest fight, we’re not alone.

Yesterday we had the privilege of sharing our story and raising awareness about FTD and The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration by joining "The Woo Hoo Hour" with the Preacher Lady yesterday from 3-4pm Sept 10th on WFNU 94.1 FM Frogtown Community Radio.

It was a meaningful conversation about Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD), the importance of brain health, and the courage it takes to seek support as a caregiver. 💜

We’re honored to stand with the MN FTD community and use opportunities like this to shine a light on this disease.

We tried something new.
We shared our story.
We shed a few tears.
We smiled too… because there is hope for a future to .

🙏 Thank you for listening and supporting this mission. You can catch the replay online or on the WFNU app!

Our mission is simple but powerful: raise awareness, support families, and fundraise for research and The Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration

That’s why bringing expert voices like Dr. Vijay Ramanan from Mayo Clinic to our fundraiser matters— it ensures our community has access to the latest research, resources, and hope for the future.

Tickets are going fast to join us Sept. 22 as we learn, connect and make an impact together.

We are grateful to have partners like you standing with us in the fight to

Our longtime friend and respected Coldwell Banker colleague, Nanci Anderson with Coldwell Banker Realty, was personally touched by Frontotemporal Degeneration (FTD). After losing her incredible husband, Gary, in 2019, Nanci and her two daughters have continued his fight against FTD.

Through their non-profit, Gary’s FUB Team , Nanci's family strives to provide education and awareness about FTD, support caregivers and individuals living with the disease, and fundraise to support the National Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration (theaftd.org).

We are proud to support Nanci and Gary's FUB Team through sponsoring this event. Join us at The Hutton House on Monday, September 22 from 5-9:00 p.m. The event will feature live music, raffle items, a silent auction, and more with a buffet dinner available.
