As I read this article by Laura Yuen w/ Star Tribune, I was reminded of how many people have contributed to Fawkes Alley Coffee & Futsal Society. The story highlights Futsal Society, but the impact it describes is really the result of years of investment and support from coaches, mentors, partners, volunteers, and friends who have believed in the value of creating accessible opportunities for young people. We still have a long way to go & big dreams! On the the heels of the World Cup, Laura’s words serve as a moment to reflect and be grateful for everyone who has helped us get to this point. We’re proud of how far we’ve come, but we’re even more excited about what’s ahead.

Due to air quality, the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board has cancelled all outdoor programs, activities and events for today.

This includes:
✔outdoor pools, wading pools and splash pads
✔outdoor nature camps and recreation programs
✔athletic activities
✔golf courses
✔events and other scheduled outdoor programming

All non air-conditioned recreation centers are also closed today.

Parks, trails and beaches will remain open; beaches will be unguarded. If you do go outside, use precaution and limit your time.

Doors open at 7:15pm. The cafe is staying open late & https://www.gainoimpls.com/ is opening up their back window for takeout food & snacks! VAMOS! All are welcome!
