We’ve had a wonderful month of activities at Lao America! In July, we enjoyed a special butterfly release and celebrated the birthdays of our July birthday members. 🦋🎂

We also celebrated the 8-year anniversary of one of our Tai Ji Quan leaders. Congratulations, and thank you for your dedication and leadership in our community! 🎉👏

We’re also grateful to see more people joining us for our meal program. It’s always wonderful to see our community come together, share a meal, and spend time with one another. ❤️

On June 4th, 2026, we celebrated Lao New Years at LAOA.

We begun the event with having our seniors ask for forgiveness amongst their peers, as motive start the New Year. We then transitioned to a beauty pageant, where we had the seniors of LAOA participate.

The pageant showcased enjoyment the seniors had during the event, the highlight of the evening was the crowing of the most voted winner of our event.

Traditionally Lao New Year is celebrated on April 13-15. However, it is never too late to celebrate as long as everyone is together!

We celebrated Valentine’s Day on 2/11. Our participants were happy to meet and celebrate with each other. It was great to see everyone happy and smiling.

We recently celebrated our Volunteer Recognition Day at LAOA, and our hearts are truly full. This event was a beautiful reminder of the incredible impact our volunteers have on our mission and our community. Each hour of service, every act of kindness, and every moment of dedication contributes to the foundation that keeps LAOA strong.

We are profoundly grateful for the compassion, time, and energy our volunteers pour into our organization. Their commitment not only supports our daily operations but also inspires us to continue growing, improving, and reaching more people in meaningful ways. LAOA would not be what it is today without the unwavering generosity and spirit of those who choose to stand beside us.

To everyone who attended and helped make this celebration so special—thank you. Your presence, your support, and your belief in our mission mean more than words can express. We are honored to walk this path with such a caring and dedicated community.
