Monthly Meeting at Wandering Leaf Brewing Mar 25th at 6:30: Mix-Ferm and Foeder beer talk
Big Brew Review at Bear Cave Brewing Apr 22 at 6PM: Anonymous feedback on your homebrew
Big Brew Day at Back Channel May 2 at 10AM: Wort details TBD
Rahr Tour at Rahr Malting Co May 29th at Noon: See the facility and try some beers brewed with their ingredients
Monthly Meeting at Black Frost Distillery June 6th 2PM: Learn about distilling and try some of the great distillate being made at the distillery

2.5 Weeks till our next Monthly Meeting at Wandering Leaf Brewing Company where we will meet with Mat Waddell of Pen Name Fermentation Project to learn about mixed culture and barrel aged (clean) beers. It will be an interesting discussion for sure! Homebrew welcome.

We have some unique opportunities for members this year to tour and learn from some of the best MN Distilleries. Would this be something of interest? If so, leave a comment, let us know! This year is shaping up to be one of the most exciting yet for members!

Monthly meeting at Lupulin Brewing tomorrow 2/15 at Noon. No educational topic this time, but look forward to future meetings having some discussion. The open question I have for those in attendance will be - lets chat about what you want to see from the club this year! All ideas welcome. Homebrew is allowed to be shared and consumed.

Two Announcements:
First, make sure to attend our Monthly Meeting at Lupulin Sunday Feb 15 at Noon. No speaker as the brewer had a conflict, but bring homebrew and hang with fellow members. We will have a dedicated space in the even space.

Tomorrow is the day of the biggest event of the year - our Holiday Party! 1/17 6PM at Forgotten Star Brewery.

Setup will start around 5:30 pm with teardown at 9:30 pm
Festivitivies officially start at 6PM
Raffles with gift cards from breweries and online shops occurring throughout the night
What to bring
Food: Come with a potluck dish to share (bonus points for being prepared with a beer, cider, or mead). Make sure to bring serving utensils and an extension cord if needed.
A “People’s Choice” award will be given for the best potluck dish with beer, cider, or mead as an ingredient with voting going on throughout the night.
Plates, napkins, and silverware will be provided.
Beer/Cider/Mead/Wine to share: Bring any beer, mead, or cider that you wish to share. Bottles, growlers, and kegs are welcome. Don’t forget a small tasting glass—some plastic glasses will be available in case of emergency. The club will provide our jockeybox for use.
What? Remember to bring a tasting glass. Really. You should bring a tasting glass.
Even better if you put your name on it for the inevitable “I lost my tasting glass”.
Family and Friends: This is a family-friendly event, so bring your significant other, kids, and/or any friends/family that have ever expressed an interest in homebrewing or beer. As this is one of the most attended gatherings of the year, it’s a great opportunity to get out and meet your fellow homebrewers. If you have not made it to a meeting or would like to join the club, the Holiday potluck is a perfect chance to try some great homebrew and delicious food, and exchange homebrew with others.

We know you are detoxing from the holiday and new year festivities - but here at MHBA we are just getting started! The holiday party is January 17th at Forgotten Star.

I know everyone is getting ready for a Thanksgiving feast, but don't forget the true MVP of the holidays is on January 17 6PM at Forgotten Star Brewery. You know I am talking about the holiday party.
