Classical Mandolin Society of America The Classical Mandolin Society of America Inc., or CMSA, is a 501 (C)(3) not for profit corporation. The organization was founded in 1986 by Norman Levine.

The Classical Mandolin Society of America is the only organization whose purpose is to promote and support the art of classical mandolin playing in North America.

Exciting news - one of our Mandolins Make a Difference commissioned composers, Susie Ibarra, has just won the 2025 Pulitzer Prize in Music, for her composition "Sky Islands".
