April 2025 Greece Serving & Biblical sites mission trip highlights. These are pictures of our team serving with our church partners in Athens and Biblical sites of ancient Corinth, Mars Hill, Kavala, and ancient Philippi as well as some recreation on Poros Island, Mt. Olympus, and Meteora.

The team enjoyed the sunset on Mars Hill last night while singing worship songs with sign language. Many in the crowd came over to listen and we also had a great conversation with one individual.

Our team volunteered with our partners at Athens Christian Center today. We prepared food donations and helped refugees select new clothes and wash their clothing.

Next summer, one of our partners in Greece, is doing an incredible, nationwide ministry called Oikos. Oikos (‘eekos’) is the Greek word for ‘house/home’. Over the last 3 years, Hellenic Ministries has passed out over 1.5 million bibles across Greece, and now they are going back into those communities to talk with, pray with and encourage local believers as well as those seeking to know more about Jesus. We at Praying Pelican Missions have an amazing opportunity to participate and partner with Hellenic Ministries in this amazing adventure of sharing the Gospel across Greece! The dates are July 4 - 13, 2025. Not only will you get to participate in this ministry, but you will get to join with other believers around the world to come together to worship, learn and fellowship before heading out to different towns and villages to show the love of Jesus. Tonight we shared communion together on Mars Hill. It was a beautiful time of fellowship amongst a hundred other people who spoke other languages and some who believed in other things. We read from Acts, we remembered the sacrifice of Christ, and we prayed over the city and for each other. I'm sure others looked at us with curious eyes, and some probably even thought we weird. But we are not ashamed to show our love for Jesus. Even with so many people around, it felt special and intimate and sacred.
