Minneapolis Needs A New Lesbian Bar

Minneapolis Needs A New Lesbian Bar We want a new LGBT bar in the Twin Cities which specifically caters to the ladies. Minneapolis has been without one for too long.

The founders of this page (Tara Davis and Margret Blaylock) are researching the possibility of opening one ourselves if we must. We want to make this something which the whole community feels belongs to us all. Come join us in the discussion of how we can make it happen!

How would you guys feel we were to use a Kickstarter project to raise the funds to make this happen? Maybe grant some kind of VIP privileges to those who help get it off the ground. Any thoughts?

Those of you who remember Pi, what were some of your favorite things about it?

A few interested people trickling in. That's good! Keep spreading the word!

Please spread word of this page far and wide. Get your friends to "like" it and have them invite their friends to do likewise. The more there are here, the better the chance of a new bar happening, because getting financing will be a lot easier if the demand can be demonstrated.

Imagine an awesome venue to do shows where all of the talent would be all women. Whether it would be all female bands, all female comics. Did you know that Minneapolis is home to one of the first all women slam poetry events? Imagine a venue that could house all of these events in one venue. Girl/Woman Power!

Please "Like" this page, and encourage your friends to do so. The more evidence there is of interest in such a bar, the easier it will become to do things like get SBA loans, attract partners, etc.

I'm brimming over with ideas for how such a bar could be an awesome place. I was a regular at "Pi" before it closed down, and like many I found things that I absolutely loved about it and things which I thought could have been better. But my opinions are just my opinions. I'd like as many people as possible, especially the ladies, to chime in on what they would like to see from a lesbian-centric bar.
