Posting this memory of our time at Broadway with amazing moms and women creating in community 8 years ago. Arts in Action’s founders have been busy raising babies and our page has been a bit quiet. We wanted to thank you for your continued support and update all of you on dreams and plans in the works of expanding to Wisconsin as well as continuing in Minnesota. We hope to continue to help support mothers and families and communities through creative connections and cooperative spaces and places for everyone’s art to be in action. Stay tuned...❤️

Reposting this one today in honor of the importance of seeing and experiencing ourselves as artists in all we do, even in our choices for sharing the resources we have, and for youth to have opportunities, mentors, tools, time to be the artists they dream.

Painting last school year at Broadway High. Students created art projects to highlight concepts and awareness they gained in their World Savvy class focusing on world issues, economics and social studies. One of the topics was access to water, another, freedom of expression. For Give to the Max Day, Arts in Action will be giving 20% of all donations received to art supplies for Broadway High School for students who are also pregnant and parenting. Students shared that art for them is a form of expression and stress relief. It offers time for them to be with their own creativity and feelings. Please consider donating and watch for an upcoming link to our Give to the Max page. Thank you!

Hi All, The North American Drama Therapy Association is asking for support to create a space for Drama Therapists to confront and take action in community to address our own, as well as cultural and systemic privilege, power and oppression. Being aware and being on a path of self, cultural and community awareness and action in the areas of power, privilege and oppression is critical as we work and live in the world and as we create therapeutic relationships as Drama Therapists. Please check out the video at

All money raised will go towards funding programming at the NADTA’s 36th Annual Conference in October of 2015.
