Hey neighbors! Did you know we have a Common Room?! It is located next to the laundry room. We are going to start having informal "study parties" there every Sunday starting at 2 p.m. Feel free to come have some tea and snacks while you study. Some board members cleaned and organized the Common Room last week, and we will continue to improve it with new furniture and other perks. If you have any suggestions for what you'd like us to add (coffee maker, radio, DVD player, etc.) please leave a note here!

Hey, neighbors! We're holding a meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 29 at 6:30 p.m. in the Marshall Co-op board room, which is next to the laundry room downstairs. We'll talk about the garden, maintenance around the building, a summer PARTY and anything else you'd like to talk about. All are welcome!

Help the Marshall garden by contributing to our compost! The compost bin is on the side of the front porch. Help us to create a nutritious ‘food’ for our plants by contributing some of your kitchen waste. Composting is a great, easy way to use ‘waste’ products for a positive environmental impact!

Here is a quick update on upcoming garden events!
Saturday, April 26:9am-4pm
Build day at Chateau!
If you can make it, please come over to Chateau to help in their garden. We want to promote community and learning between the two coops!

Saturday, May 3: 9am-4pm
Build day at Marshall Coop!
You don't need to come for the whole day -- please come whenever you can to contribute in the development of our community and garden. We'll have music and will make it a fun day of work. We will be building garden beds.

Sunday, May 18: Plant day!
10-12 at Chateau
2-4 at Marshall Co-op
We will begin the planting of our garden!

Hello Neighbor! Tonight offers a great opportunity to meet your neighbors who serve on the board and represent you and your interests to Riverton Housing. Come join us at 6 p.m. in the board room (next to the laundry room) to learn how we run a board meeting, to learn about our upcoming garden project and parties, and to offer suggestions on how we can make the Marshall Co-op experience even better for all of us!

Hi neighbors! I hope you can gather this Friday, January 24 at 6:00 in the board room (downstairs by the laundry room) for FREE PIZZA and AN ELECTION! We'll vote for the 2014 Marshall board members. There are several openings for new board members this year, and we invite you to nominate yourselves at the meeting. Board members get $15 rent discounts for each and every meeting they attend and for tasks and jobs they volunteer for. We meet for about 30 minutes once per month, so it's not an overwhelming commitment. If you can't attend the Friday meeting, please feel free to vote using the paper ballot that will be slid under your door in the next couple of days. We hope to see you Friday!

Hello, residents! Please feel free to pick some tomatoes from our big bush at the front entrance of the building! The green tomatoes can be used in recipes or allowed to ripen indoors. We believe these tomatoes will go bad after the first hard freeze, which could be any day now!
