Hi everyone!

With this month's newsletter, we will be adding a poll for volunteers to help with the Obon (Lantern Lighting) Festival on Sunday, Aug 16th at Como Park. This festival is a major source of our fundraising money, and we've really lacked volunteers to help over the last two years. If you have 2-3 hours to spare and would like a free ticket to the festival (and free Kakigori!), please consider donating your time.

The survey below doesn't commit you 100 percent; it just lets us know you may be able to help. We would contact you further regarding specific times. Also, if you know of any high school students needing volunteer hours, let us know!

It is finally starting to feel like spring! We are thrilled to welcome the warmer weather and the vibrant colors returning to our neighborhoods. While we may not have cherry blossoms to celebrate, the crab apple blossoms are in full bloom and looking absolutely stunning right now.

Hello everyone,

Seigo is at it again! We invite the JETAAMN community to join us on Sunday, May 18th at CHS Field (home of the St. Paul Saints) to cheer on Seigo Masubuchi as he crosses the finish line of his 100th marathon.

This year’s event is extra special: proceeds from ticket and shirt sales will benefit Special Olympics Minnesota.

The Details:

Early Bird (by May 10): $25 per person

Standard (May 11–15): $30 per person

What’s Included: Game entry, a commemorative T-shirt, and a donation to the Special Olympics.

Note: To secure the discount and ensure you are seated with the main group, please RSVP and pay by May 10. For registrations after this date, we will do our best to seat you with the group, but availability is not guaranteed.

Spring has finally arrived in Minnesota! Join us for Hanami at the Rose Garden on May 9th. Light snacks will be provided, please plan on bringing additional snacks and drinks to share with the JETAA community.
