Marcy Park Student Housing Cooperative This is a group for those who live in or are fans of either the 700 and/or 1000 buildings of Marcy Park Student Housing Cooperative! Questions?

* Tree Planting: Saturday, October 18th at 10 am - 1 pm (Meet at 9:30 am at the Chateau Co-op, 425 13th Ave SE)
All of the Riverton Cooperatives are getting together to plant trees on the banks of the Mississippi River at the East River Flats Park. Come to improve the environment we live in. Please RSVP to Kit at kit.fordha

* Apple Orchard Trip/Pumpkin Carving: Sunday, October 19th at 1:00 pm
We will be carpooling to the Pine Tree Apple Orchard and then coming back to carve pumpkins in the Board Room. Residents who RSVP will receive a FREE ticket for the hay ride and corn maze as well as receive a FREE caramel apple and a pumpkin to carve. Please fill out the RSVP forms and submit them to the envelopes near the building entrances by TOMORROW Friday, October 17th.

* New Member Orientation: Monday, October 20th at 6:00 pm at the 700 Building Board Room (near the laundry room)
Come learn more about living in a cooperative and how you can get involved as well as meet other residents. FREE Pizza will be provided! ALL new residents are required to attend a New Member Orientation within three months of moving in or will receive a $50 fine.

* October Board Meeting: Monday, October 20th at 6:30 pm in the 700 Building Board Room. Come to hear about what is going on at Marcy Park, bring up your concerns and help make decisions that affect our co-op. We have open Board Member spots for those interested! All residents are welcome to attend. Items on this month's agenda:
- Diwali Planning
- Annual General Meeting Planning
- Washer and Dryer Costs

* Diwali - the Indian Festival of Lights: Thursday, October 23rd at 6:00 pm in the 1000 Building Parking Lot
Come celebrate with food, music and fireworks. FREE Indian food will be catered! Email [email protected]

* Report maintenance issues by calling the Riverton office: (612) 331-3911 or online at http://www.riverton.org/form.php

* Parking Lot Rules:
- One parking pass PER apartment You can not have 2 cars parked in the lot
- You can park in the 1000 or 700 lot (if you have multiple cars only ONE car can be parked in the lot, if both your cars are in the lots, one will be towed)
- All cars must have a parking pass and be registered with Riverton
- If you are missing a pass or aren’t registered you’ll get a parking ticket
- If you are missing a pass and aren’t registered you will be towed right away
- Any car not parked in a designated parking spot will be towed right away
- Only residents can park in the lot, any car that doesn’t belong to a resident will be towed

Laundry: Always clean out pet hair from the machines after you use them
