Opportunity Builds Africa - OBA

10/09/2026

In the remote Androy Region of Madagascar, OBA provides school lunches which are often the only meal a child can count on all day. The school meal program initially began with 200 children and has expanded to feed roughly 3,000 students a month, over 2,000,000 meals a year. The program provides both essential nourishment and a powerful incentive for children to stay in school.

To support continued funding of OBA’s programs, you can take the following actions.

What a fun morning at the 18th Annual “Together with Tanzania” 5K! 🇹🇿🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Today, a wonderful group of July 2027 Discovery Tour participants, members of Saint Peter’s Lutheran Church in Greenwood Village, along with many friends from the congregation and community, joined together for a 5K filled with good energy, big smiles, and lots of laughs.

After crossing the finish line, we gathered around some delicious East African food, shared stories, laughed, and enjoyed some truly great conversation. There’s just something special about bringing people together over a good cause, good food, and a few miles on the road.

Grateful for the hospitality, the fellowship, and everyone who came out to make today such a memorable morning. ❤️

Thank you Saint Peter Lutheran Church for the incredible event!

Run a little, eat a lot, laugh even more — sounds like a pretty great Saturday to us! 🇹🇿✨
