She was once a student at MGLSS.
Today, she is changing the future for 900 women.
Meet Selina Ngurumwa — a graduate of the Maasai Girls Lutheran Secondary School (MGLSS) and now the Founder and Executive Director of PIWOYOT, a women-led organization serving some of the most underserved communities in northern Tanzania.
Selina knows firsthand what education and opportunity can do. Now, she is paying it forward.
Through a new Women’s Economic Empowerment Project, Selina and her team will support 900 women across Ngorongoro, Longido, and Monduli districts with:
✨ Entrepreneurship and financial literacy training
✨ Small business and startup support
✨ Savings groups and mentorship
✨ Tools to help women increase income through value-added products like beadwork, dairy, and livestock goods
In these communities, women carry the weight of providing for their families — often with little access to education, income, or opportunity.
But when a woman gains the tools to succeed, everything changes.
💛 Children stay in school
💛 Families have better nutrition and healthcare
💛 Women gain independence and confidence
💛 Entire communities become stronger and more resilient
This is the ripple effect of education.
This is the legacy of MGLSS.
And this is why Operation Bootstrap Africa is proud partner with this initiative.
Your gift can help transform not just one life — but hundreds.
Please consider donating and sharing this campaign to help Selina unlock opportunity for 900 women and their families.
