FREE ice luminary classes and buckets and balloons for making them for anyone who would like to contribute ice luminaries for the second annual Northside Luminary Light Up! event taking place on January 24. Classes are at the St Jane House this Wednesday 1/14 from 6pm-7:30pm, Thursday, 1/15 from 6pm -7:30pm, and Saturday, 1/17 from 9:30am-11am. Proceeds from the luminary event benefit mutual aid efforts for Northside residents impacted by ICE raids. In this time of great pain, division, and unease in our country and world, Stevie Wonder reminds us that "Love's In Need of Love Today". If you need a little love, joy, and laughter in your life, please join us in the St Jane House garden this Saturday for the third annual Jane's Community Jam and Potluck. It promises to be a fun evening of food, drink, live music, and dancing. Nathaniel Harris and friends will lead us in a community jam and sing. Come solo or grab some friends and bring your voices, your dancing shoes – and a musical instrument if you play one! Old school favorites like Lean on Me, Love Train, and Proud Mary, may show up next to newer favorites. All genres of music are welcome.

One of my personal favorites is this stunning design that resembles cut glass. It’s made by hot gluing a rubber door mat into a 5- or 7-gallon bucket, and then peeling it off.
