Little Ren Creations' leaf babies and fairy babies are made with almost entirely zero waste materials. Lauren developed the leaf babies almost one year ago to celebrate Earth Day and she's sent them to little girls and boys all over the world ever since then! ❤️🌎

Did you know that my leaf babies and fairy babies are made with almost entirely zero waste materials? I developed the leaf babies almost one year ago to celebrate Earth Day and have sent them to little girls and boys all over the world ever since then! The little bags are made with reclaimed yarns from other makers and wool scraps leftover from suiting materials. The baby’s little body is made from hand-dyed remnants by regional artists or quilter’s scrape. The face is made with fabrics leftover from my larger dolls. And the hair is made with the tiniest remnants leftover from my animal hats and weavings over at .
Some of the curls come from pre-made upcycled knit fabrics which are cleaned and then torn apart. Even the tiny accessories are reclaimed vintage baby shower favors. ❤️
The polyester stuffing is the only non-upcycled part of my work. I use clean hypo-allergenic stuffing so that all children, including those with allergies, can enjoy my work! My son has many severe allergies so this is very important to me!

I love what I do so much. And I love how it communicates the importance of caring for the Earth immensely. My babies are often gender neutral and come in any shade of skin imaginable so that the love of play and nature can be celebrated by all children🌎🍃🌈
