Rebecca is committed to ensuring Youth Resources thrives as a vital legacy for the North Side, believing deeply that every youth’s voice and dream matter.

Looking ahead, Rebecca envisions Youth Resources as a beacon of hope and opportunity for generations to come. Her leadership—rooted in personal experience and a lifelong mission—will guide the organization toward empowering each young person to dream, lead, and transform the community.

Youth Resources Welcomes Veteran Scoutmaster Thomas S. Bourke to Its Board of Directors

Minneapolis, MN — Oct 24th, 2025 — Youth Resources is proud to announce the appointment of Thomas S. Bourke to its Board of Directors. With over 25 years of dedicated service as a Scoutmaster and a lifetime of leadership and mentorship, Tom brings a wealth of experience and a deep passion for empowering youth.

Tom has spent decades shaping the lives of young people through Scouting, coaching, and community service. His commitment to leadership, inclusion, and hands-on mentorship has earned him multiple honors, including the Silver Beaver Award, one of Scouting’s highest recognitions for distinguished service to youth.

Beyond Scouting, Tom is a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, a licensed contractor, and the founder of several successful construction companies. He has combined his professional expertise with a heart for service—mentoring youth in skilled trades, leading community projects, and ensuring that disadvantaged young people have access to outdoor adventures and leadership opportunities.

“Tom embodies the spirit of servant leadership,” said Executive Director, Rev Victor Martinez, of Youth Resources. “His decades of experience guiding and inspiring young people will strengthen our mission to equip the next generation of leaders in North Minneapolis.”

As a new board member, Tom will help shape Youth Resources’ strategic direction, supporting initiatives that provide housing, training, and opportunities for youth workers and community mentors.

For more than three decades, Tom Bourke has lived by the values of integrity, service, and community—values that align perfectly with the mission of Youth Resources.

We are thrilled to share that Rebecca Christiansen has been elected to serve with Youth Resources! 🎉

Rebecca is a seasoned ministry leader with more than two decades of experience in children, youth, and family ministry. She has faithfully served at multiple congregations, where she:

Developed and directed faith formation programs from birth through high school.

Recruited, trained, and mentored hundreds of volunteers and youth leaders.

Created and implemented family events, summer camps, and milestone ministries to help parents grow as the primary spiritual influencers in their children’s lives.

Built strong collaborations with schools, churches, and community partners.

Provided vision and supervision for staff teams, always fostering environments where children and youth can grow in faith and leadership.

At Youth Resource, our mission is to empower the youth of North Minneapolis and strengthen the youth workers who serve them. We are committed to growing our organization, starting with strong leadership, and continuing to seek new resources that will expand and deepen our impact.

Faith A. Allen is a dynamic 22-year-old evangelist, speaker, and activist who has devoted her life to ministry and global impact. Answering the call of God at the tender age of four, she began preaching the gospel with boldness beyond her years. By the age of fourteen, she had already stepped into the realm of activism, fearlessly advocating for justice, equity, and spiritual awakening in communities that are often overlooked.
