PCNA Twin Cities Minnesota Chapter Please join us for our educational events and support our group! PCNA is committed to supporting nurses so they may successfully rise to this challenge.

The PCNA Twin Cities Minnesota Chapter is made up of a group of dedicated nursing professionals eager to support the mission of PCNA through education, mentorship, advocacy, and leadership. Nurses are Leading the Way in CVD Prevention and Management:

The Preventive Cardiovascular Nurses Association is the leading nursing organization dedicated to preventing and managing cardiovascular disease. Our members are nurses and nurse practitioners that assess risk, facilitate lifestyle changes, and guide individuals to achieve treatment goals at clinics, hospitals and universities across the country. The current state of health care demands that nurses and advanced practice nurses play a leading role in identifying and implementing cardiovascular risk reduction strategies. We educate and support nurses through the development of professional and patient education, leadership, and advocacy.

The Twin Cities Chapter had great success participating in PCNA's Hypertension Campaign.

Over 3 events, 22 referrals were made to patient's physicians and clinics for further hypertension management based on the evaluations.

Thank you to the WeCare Foundation, the City of Champlin, and Allina Health for allowing us to provide these screenings concomitantly with their community events.

Continue to advocate for opportunities to achieve equity in Hypertension diagnosis and management.
