We will be tabling at the "We Are the Noise" Juneteenth celebration this Saturday, 6/15! Come out and support dozens of orgs and vendors, and chat with some of our members, participate in a collaborative art piece, pick up zines, and collect buttons and stickers made by the amazing !

ACTION: The fight for divestment is not over!

The university administration has agreed to hear the Divest UMN coalition’s demands but has NOT actually committed to divestment. We support Divest UMN’s demands and we won’t accept empty promises!

It’s time to pressure the UMN Board of Regents to actually meet the demands of students, faculty, and staff.

EMAIL the Board of Regents at bit.ly/UMNDIVEST (case sensitive) and SHOW UP to the Board of Regents meeting on Friday May 10 to demand divestment from Israel!

Come for shabbat, stay for the press conference! Solidarity in antizionism for a free Palestine. We expect counterprotestors to be nearby, and welcome/appreciate respectful participation in the shabbat blessings and your protective presence for persons and priorities.

Antizionism is not antizionism.

Critique of the genocide that israel continues to mount on Palestinians does not make Jews unsafe. It simply makes defenders of genocide (and those who profit from it) uncomfortable. Disinvest from the destruction and theft of Palestinian land and life! UMN, disclose, divest- we will not stop, we will not rest.

And yet-- for many Jews (and teachings/interpretations are beautifully multiple), shabbat is a reaffirmation of rest, a glimmer and image of resting as though the work is done, a regrounding in the world that and and all their allies are working so hard to bring about. For us, the world in which Jews and all people are safe AND/BECAUSE Palestine is free. Our liberation, safety, and freedom are entwined and tonight, we show up to enter shabbat with Jewish student leaders for Palestine.

Be advised that other groups "Students Supporting Israel" and Chabad who have supported counterprotests again and have smeared are organizing prayer separately, in front of Coffman at 4pm- (so don't get lost, that's not us we will be at Northrop Plaza).

Your participation in the shabbat and protective presence between these two above-mentioned campus events (differentially/discriminatorily supported by UMN Admin), is appreciated!

Teamsters Local 320 and the Graduate Labor Union - UE Local 1105 are calling on the University of Minnesota administration and Board of Regents to re-open Coffman Memorial Union, academic workplaces and all other buildings on the Northrop Mall that have been closed due to campus protests.

They are asking that everyone visit this link to contact the Board of Regents and University Administration - tell them to address our issues with building closures: bit.ly/umnclosure
