Sober Corps

Sober Corps Sober Corps is a Twin Cities-based nonprofit dedicated to helping people achieve their first years of freedom from chemical addiction.

For nearly five years, Sober Corps has positively impacted the lives of newly sober men and women through mentor relationships. Our approach stresses a one-to-one connection and focuses on breaking a cycle of addiction. Many of our participants have been through recovery and relapse multiple times and have tried to stay sober on their own with limited success. Our mentorship program, which is aime

d at people who are leaving a treatment center or halfway house, is offered free of charge and helps the recovering person find sober housing, meaningful work, education opportunities and a new network of support. If you’re interested in joining Sober Corps as a participant, you must meet the following criteria:

Must be sober. We typically match people in their third month of recovery, but we will start the application process for anyone in their first year of sobriety. Must be involved in a 12-step program. Must make a decision to succeed in recovery. Must be willing to make a commitment to a mentor relationship through your first anniversary of sobriety. If you meet the above criteria and you’re interested in learning more, please contact us or visit the frequently asked questions page on our site.

On Earth Day let's think about care for our earth and the people on it.

“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” — Dr. Jane Goodall
