“Greetings to IOPHA members in Minnesota and beyond,

The International Oromo Health Professionals Association (IOPHA), in collaboration with Oromia Media Network (OMN), is undertaking an important community health education initiative aimed at increasing awareness of critical health issues through expert-led discussions. This effort is made possible by healthcare professionals who generously volunteer their time and expertise to serve our community.

The planned topics include, but are not limited to:
• Chronic diseases (diabetes mellitus, hypertension, and cardiovascular disease)
• Mental health awareness — particularly urgent and essential in the current climate
• Neurological disorders and neurodiversity
• Self-care, prevention, and overall wellness

I am coordinating this initiative on behalf of IOPHA, and we are seeking one healthcare professional to present every two weeks. Our first program aired this evening and focused on diabetes mellitus, presented by Dr. Midhasoo Foge. We are currently identifying the next topic and presenter for the upcoming session scheduled in two weeks.

If you or a colleague are interested in contributing to this meaningful community education effort, please contact me directly. Your participation will play a vital role in strengthening the health and well-being of our community.

With sincere appreciation and respect,”
