We’re proud to uplift our partner Promise Neighborhoods of the Lehigh Valley for hosting “Voices of Incarceration,” a powerful documentary screening and panel in partnership with LVHN/Jefferson Health and the Prisoner Survivor Network, centered on reentry, mental health, and healing.
This gathering created space for honest dialogue and community-led solutions, aligning with CSHE’s commitment to advancing health equity through cross-sector collaboration and systems transformation.
We’re especially proud to see CSHE Youth Advisor Zaleeae Sierra leading, and CSHE Strategic Advisor Dr. Hasshan Batts, Founder and President of the Prisoner Survivor Network, continuing to shape this work through lived experience and partnership.
Still feeling the impact from last night.
We closed out Second Chance Month in April with truth and reflection, and stepped into May, Mental Health Awareness Month, with intention. This moment reminded us that healing, especially for our returning citizens, has to stay at the center of everything we do.
Pictured here is Paula Gonzalez, Executive Director of Preventive Measures Foundation, with Zaleeae Sierra, PNLV’s Youth Director, Allentown School District board member, and the 2025 Youth Leader Award recipient honored by Preventive Measures Foundation.
This photo was taken at the Voices of Incarceration documentary screening, a powerful collaboration between PNLV, LVHN/Jefferson Health, and the Prisoner Survivor Network. The panel conversation was honest, impactful, and centered on mental health, healing, and what it truly takes to move forward.
Thank you Zaleeae for hosting and serving as a panelist, and for the continued work you do supporting youth and their mental health in our community.
A special thank you to our panelists:
Afua “Fuffie” Conyers, a credible messenger and Certified Peer Support Specialist using her lived experience to uplift others navigating reentry.
Ormar “Knowledge” Morris, a mentor and reentry leader guiding others through transition with accountability and purpose.
Harmony Byrd, a powerful voice and member of the Prisoner Survivor Network, supporting others on their journey toward healing and stability.
We are deeply grateful for our partners supporting returning citizens through reentry and mental health. At PNLV, we create spaces that build hope, belonging, and agency, while Preventive Measures Foundation provides critical clinical care. Together, we are meeting the full needs of our community.
Thank you Dr. Hasshan Batts of the Prisoner Survivor Network, PNLV’s former Executive Director, for continuing to show up for this work.
We are also grateful for our partnership with LVHN/Jefferson Health and Dr. Mark Cipolle, the leading trauma surgeon in our region. Through our hospital based violence prevention program, this work is possible. Dr. Cipolle also spoke last night on the importance of mental health and why this work matters now more than ever.
And thank you to Vince Mondillo for directing such a powerful documentary. Voices of Incarceration is a timeless message that will continue to educate and move people for years to come.
More pictures and videos from the night coming soon.
This is what community looks like. Stronger together always 🙌🏽✨
