Funded by the AANA Foundation, this study aims to better understand second-victim experiences among CRNAs and nurse anesthesia residents/students using the revised definition of “second victim” to inform strategies that support provider well-being, resilience, and patient safety.

💚 What an incredible MANA Fall Conference! 💚

280 attendees. Countless connections. New ideas, renewed energy, and a profession that continues to show up for one another.

This year’s Minnesota Association of Nurse Anesthetists Fall Conference was an incredible reminder of what happens when CRNAs and SRNAs come together to learn, connect, advocate, celebrate, and inspire.

Over the course of the weekend we:

💚 Raised funds to support both our FOMNA PAC and the AANA Foundation
💚 Supported MANA through merchandise sales
💚 Celebrated and honored CRNAs receiving well-deserved awards and recognition
💚 Learned from outstanding speakers on wellness, the business of anesthesia, advocacy, clinical practice, and physiology
💚 Highlighted three SRNA scholarly projects through oral presentations
💚 Showcased an incredible 22 SRNA and CRNA scholarly work posters
💚 Connected CRNAs, SRNAs and RNs from across Minnesota
💚 Inspired so much engagement that we had numerous attendees ask how they could become more involved and join MANA committees

But perhaps the greatest success wasn’t something we could count.

It was seeing people reconnect with colleagues, meet someone new, exchange ideas, encourage our future CRNAs, and leave feeling re-inspired by our profession and more connected to one another.

Professional organizations are strongest when their members are engaged—and this weekend was such a great example of what that looks like.

Thank you to our speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, committee members, board members, student presenters, poster presenters, and every single person who attended and helped make this conference what it was.

280 strong—and leaving inspired, connected, and ready to keep moving our profession forward. 💚

When the Minneapolis VA faced a critical anesthesia staffing challenge, Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists stepped up to help ensure veterans continued receiving the surgical care they needed.

In a new commentary published today in MinnPost, MANA President Robyn Finney shares what happened at the VA and what the experience demonstrates about the important role CRNAs play in providing safe, high-quality anesthesia care.

“How nurse anesthetists met a critical need at the Minneapolis VA” highlights how CRNAs helped maintain access to care during a challenging period and the value CRNAs bring to health care systems and the patients they serve.
