West Bank Brewing Association

West Bank Brewing Association Membership is open to all University of Minnesota students and many of our events are open to the public.

The West Bank Brewing Association (WBBA) was started by a group of students from the Humphrey School of Public Affairs at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities who share a passion for homebrewing, beer culture, and legislative/public policy issues affecting the craft brewing industry. (Of course, you must be 21 years of age to attend events where alcohol is served.) Our activities include:

1)

Periodic guest speakers from the brewing and policy communities
2) Monthly Tasting and appreciation meetings with beer policy updates
3) Monthly Homebrewing workshops
4) Brewing for local charity and non-profit events

What: Beer Brewing History of the Mississippi River
When: Thursday, December 6th @ 6pm
Where: Hubert H. Humphrey School of Public Affairs, Room 15 (West Bank)

This is the history they don't teach in school, and is bound to be one of your favorite lessons! Join River Rangers and the National Park Service for an enlightening talk on one of Minnesota's most loved beverages. Learn about how the Mississippi River influenced the art of beer brewing in the Twin Cities and discover things you never knew about beer. After the talk we will head over to one of the establishments near the West Bank of campus to enjoy some food, company, and perhaps a beer that you have just learned so much about.
