🕯️ Memorial Gathering – October 7 🕯️

Two years have passed since the horrific day of October 7, a day that changed our people and our lives forever.
We invite you to join us for an intimate evening of remembrance, sharing, and community.

This will be a space to honor the memory of those we lost, to speak about what still weighs on our hearts, and to carry hope together.

We’ve got three special gatherings coming up this month:

🕯️ October 7 – Memorial Gathering (7 PM)
Marking two years since October 7, we’ll come together to light candles and share reflections in community.

🌿 October 17 – Sukkot Shabbat (7 PM)
Celebrate Shabbat in the spirit of Sukkot! Festive dinner, challah, wine, and the ritual of the four species — lulav, etrog, hadas, and aravah — symbolizing unity and togetherness.

🎉 October 25 – Going Away Party (3 PM)
Join us for our farewell before moving to Chicago! Food, drinks, music, and lots of warmth as we wrap up our time in Minneapolis.

Join us for an evening of community, kindness, and connection as we pack donation kits for JFCS. This is a special opportunity to give back, celebrate the spirit of the New Year, and make a positive impact together.

We’ll have a fresh salad bar and drinks to enjoy, and you’ll also have the chance to support the effort directly with Venmo donations at the event.

Come do good, relax with friends, and treat yourself to great food and company. 🌟

🥗🤲 Rosh Hashanah Volunteering
Tuesday, September 16 at 6:30 PM
Come together at Moishe Pod to pack Rosh Hashanah packages for local families. We will have a build-your-own salad bar, drinks, and time to connect while giving back. A simple and meaningful way to prepare for the New Year. We will be sharing a list of items you can donate very soon.

Tuesday, September 23 at 7:30 PM
Celebrate the sweetness of the New Year with Moishe Pod. Join us for a festive dinner on the second night of Rosh Hashanah with apples, honey, and holiday favorites. We are also hosting a playful cake contest so bring your best holiday cake to share and taste together.

We gathered together for a Challah Bake & Hafrashat Challah, braiding, laughing, learning, and of course, tasting the delicious results fresh from the oven. 🥖💫

This tradition isn’t just about baking bread, it’s about community, gratitude, and bringing people together.
So grateful to share this experience with such a wonderful group! ❤️

We’ve got three beautiful events coming up this month at Moishe Pod Minneapolis:

🍷 Shabbat of Gratitude – Friday 8/15 at 7:30 PM
A cozy White Shabbat to slow down, reflect, and share what we’re thankful for. Come dressed in white and ready for a beautiful meal.

🍞 Hafrashat Challah Workshop – Thursday 8/21 at 6:30 PM
Bake your own challah, learn the tradition behind the mitzvah, and bring some doughy joy home.

🎬 October 8: Film and Discussion – Sunday 8/31 at 7:00 PM
A powerful screening and conversation about antisemitism, identity, and community after October 7. Pizza provided.

✨ Open to Jewish young adults (ages 21–35) in Minneapolis.

We’re excited to invite you to Taco Ta’im – our very own Hebrew taco night!

Come build your own vegetarian taco this Tuesday, July 29, and stay for a night of tasty food and playful Hebrew.
We’ll be learning Israeli slang and everyday phrases through fun, interactive card games – no Hebrew experience needed!
