Founded in 2003, the NAAAP Minnesota chapter (National Association of Asian American Professionals) is a pan-Asian professional development and community building organization, with a mission to build the next generation of Asian and Asian-American leaders in Minnesota and across the United States and Canada. We aspire to achieve our mission through Asian-focused professional development workshops

and conferences, skills-based volunteerism and building community with private companies, nonprofits and the public sector to advance Asian professionals in the workforce and building diversity, equity and inclusion acumen within our community and beyond.

Our Story

The NAAAP Minnesota chapter started in 2003 with a small band of young professionals and for over 10 years, served the Twin Cities community with development workshops, mentorship programs and networking events.

Towards the middle of 2014, the Minnesota chapter entered a period of dormancy, which lasted through the end of 2017. During this near 3 year hiatus, the chapter underwent a massive reorganization, rebuilding its infrastructure from the ground up, sourcing a new leadership team and building a new 5 year strategic vision of good.

Beginning February 2018, the newly refreshed Minnesota chapter relaunched itself with an open house, show casing its new found leadership team and vision of the future.

Today, NAAAP Minnesota’s purpose is to build safe spaces that empower Asian professionals to learn, grow and build community.
