Join the WMNWC mission trip next April to Mound Bayou, MS! This will be an educational trip to a historic part of the deep south! Mound Bayou is an hour and 45 min south of Memphis. It is the oldest established township by African Americans, 99% African American. We’d definitely get a walking tour of the town! We will hear stories of their history AND hear now God is on the move today! There will be ministry opportunities for home visits. There is an elementary school in St. Gabrielle where we could help out with a food pantry or their thrift store, sorting and sewing. There is a museum that could use some help. Shut-in visits to the elderly are a possibility. We could do a prayer walk around the community and other women’s ministry opportunities plus the usual “honey-do
lists” that would serve the church.

Safe Sanctuaries Training

Wednesday, April 30 from 1:30 – 5 p.m.

Thursday, May 1 from 8 – 11:30 a.m.

Safe Sanctuaries Training equips leaders to pastor people who have experienced the injustice of intimate partner violence and sexual violence. This training will include group work, activities and a capstone project that develops a plan for immediate implementation in the participant’s church or community.
