Today we had the chance to pack bags with an amazing group of high school students from Minnehaha Academy.

We talked about the importance of giving back and being intentional about letting people who are experiencing homelessness know that they are seen and that they matter. Sometimes something as simple as a bag filled with care can remind someone they are not forgotten.

It was a powerful experience watching these young people show up with compassion and a willingness to serve. This next generation gives me so much hope.

Shoutout to my big sister Lakeisha Mcraeweems for being apart of it all these last two month and over the years in general. Love ya boo!

Looking forward to partnering with more schools and continuing this work together. ❤️

🌻 Care Bags Available Tomorrow 🌻

Tomorrow we’ll be packing care bags with student volunteers from Minnehaha Academy, and we’d love to get them out into the community right away!

If you or someone you know is experiencing homelessness or going through a difficult season, please feel free to stop by and pick up a bag.

These bags are completely free and meant to support those in need.

We also welcome organizations, outreach teams, or individuals who would like to help distribute them through their own ministries or programs.

📍 Location: Maple Grove Community Center
⏰ Time: 12:30 PM – 2:00 PM

If you’re unable to come during that time but are in need, send me a message — I may be able to arrange a drop-off.

Our heart is simply to remind people that they matter. 💛

Cooper High School for their annual Black History Month celebration, we had the honor of hosting a table for #💛YouMatter Minnesota and Youth Empowerment Club… and it was SO DOPE.

I love engaging with the youth, but today was different.

We didn’t just hand out information.
We didn’t just talk about service.

We challenged every single student we connected with.

We asked them to take a #💛YouMatter Essential Bag and personally pass it out to someone in need —
• someone in their school
• someone in their neighborhood
• or someone they see on the corner

And guess what?

Every. Single. Student. Accepted the challenge.

Over 100 #💛YouMatter Essential Bags were placed into the hands of young leaders today — not just to receive, but to GIVE.

And not only did they walk away with essential bags…

We also gave away EVERY single #💛YouMatter shirt we had.

These are shirts we normally ask for a small $20 donation for — but today? They earned it.

They earned it by saying yes to serving.
They earned it by choosing compassion.
They earned it by being willing to carry the mission.

When I say the youth showed up today — they SHOWED UP.

And let me give a HUGE shoutout to the WOODDALE youth 👏🏾💛

They packed HUNDREDS of these essential bags with their own hands — praying over them, preparing them, and helping us spread love all across Minneapolis. Because of their obedience and willingness to serve, we are able to disperse these bags throughout the city and empower other youth to do the same.

This is what it looks like when young people lead.
This is what it looks like when compassion moves.
This is what it looks like when faith turns into action.

I love watching the youth step into what God has called them to do. I love seeing them take responsibility for their part in the community. They didn’t hesitate. They didn’t question it. They said YES.

And that right there?
That’s hope. 💛🌻

In the middle of this winter season, our heart is to serve with love, dignity, and compassion—especially those facing hardship here in Minnesota.

There has been a tragic loss of life in our city, and I know many of us are feeling unsettled, concerned, and unsure about what the next few hours or days may look like.

Right now, I’m choosing prayer over panic, peace over fear, and love over division. I’m praying for the family grieving an unimaginable loss, and for protection, wisdom, and calm across our city.

Let’s be mindful of one another. Let’s speak gently. Let’s move with compassion.

“Blessed are the peacemakers.”

As we reflect on this year at Minnesota Inc., our hearts are full of gratitude. From serving families, youth, and our unhoused neighbors to meeting real needs with real love—this year has been nothing short of God’s faithfulness in action.

One of our biggest highlights was our Christmas Toy Drive 🎁💛—watching children smile, parents breathe easier, and families feel seen and supported reminded us why we do this work. What started years ago with small shoebox gifts has grown into something so much bigger because of YOU.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, partner, and supporter who has stood with us, prayed for us, and poured into this mission. We truly could not do this without our village.

And a very special shout-out to our brother and sister at Wigshotit Productions 🎥—thank you for always capturing the moments, the emotion, and the heart behind the work. Your gift helps us tell the story of love in action.
